Balkan Challenge Trophy 2012

Second year in a row the Bulgarian Golf Association organized the Balkan Challenge Trophy Amateur Championship. The event was hosted by St. Sofia Golf Club & SPA. At the recent Eastern European conference hosted by R&A, Duncan Weir announced they will support additional countries to enter the event. First “Balkan Challenge Trophy 2011” hosted 11 countries. The “Balkan Challenge Trophy 2012” hosted more countries to enter the event. The playing teams were from Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Greece, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey.
